Fire at Hellenic Petroleum refinery injures six workers

A fire ripped through a crude oil processing unit at an Hellenic Petroleum refinery in Aspropyrgos, Piraeus, injuring six workers.


One worker's body was seriously burned while another two suffered burns in the blast. All six contractors were taken to local hospitals.

The refinery crew initially dealt with the fire while Fire Department crews responded to the scene dealing with the fire. The fire broke out at a reservoir which has been under maintenance. An investigation report is about to be released.
