Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoke with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to coordinate efforts on strengthening Ukraine's air defenses and to advance a Greek proposal to help redevelop the key port of Odesa.
In a post on the social media platform X, Mr. Zelenskyy said the need to bolster air defense is “very important especially now, as Russia is attacking Ukraine increasingly harshly.”
He also expressed support for the Greek prime minister’s proposal to redevelop Ukraine’s port infrastructure and create new transport corridors in Southeastern Europe.
“We agreed that our teams will work on implementing this plan,” Mr. Zelenskyy wrote.
The Ukrainian president also mentioned a new joint initiative with NATO countries to procure U.S.-made weaponry.
He concluded by thanking Greece and M. Mitsotakis for their “decisive support for Ukraine and willingness to do more.”
