Greek police have arrested eight alleged members of a criminal organization accused of stealing luxury cars and high-end motorcycles across Attica, releasing video showing two suspects taking a black vehicle in just two and a half minutes.
In the footage, two men arrive on a motorcycle.
One dismounts, forces open the car door, climbs inside and starts the engine within moments. The accomplice then leads the way on the motorcycle as the thief follows in the stolen vehicle. Other videos show suspects breaking a motorcycle's steering lock within seconds and moving stolen bikes using the group's own "operational" motorcycles.
The ring had been active since at least late 2025 in Peristeri, Palaio Faliro, Kolonos and other districts, police said. Its haul exceeds €350,000.
The suspects live in Kamatero, Acharnes and Peristeri.
Police identified a 19-year-old as the alleged leader. He allegedly carried out thefts with a 24-year-old and an 18-year-old.
A 55-year-old allegedly moved stolen bikes from drop-off points, and a 45-year-old allegedly sold them through his shop. Investigators found an engine and license plate from stolen bikes there, and seized three more motorcycles for forensic testing.
The group targeted recent-model, large-engine motorcycles, many worth more than €10,000, and temporarily parked them in public spaces after each theft.
The investigation began after two motorcycle thefts, in Peristeri on Nov. 25, 2025 and in Haidari on Jan. 15, 2026.
After both, an unknown caller phoned the victims demanding money to return the bikes.
