Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador-designate to Greece, has recently shared several enthusiastic social media posts celebrating the country's summer culture as she awaits her final confirmation vote from the U.S. Senate.
In one recent Instagram post, Ms. Guilfoyle shared an image of a Greek island with a caption that read, "Scientists discovered that a summer in Greece adds 10 extra years to your life."
Another post featured a photo of a traditional Greek church.
The posts come as her nomination remains pending before the full Senate. Nominated by former President Mr. Donald Trump, Ms. Guilfoyle was approved by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in July, but a final vote was delayed until at least September due to a partisan deadlock in Washington.
Her social media activity is seen as an early expression of goodwill toward her future host country.
