Former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will give his first newspaper interview since resigning from Parliament, a move that is expected to shed light on his plans to launch a new political party.
The exclusive interview with the newspaper Efimerida ton Syntaktwn will be published on Saturday.
Mr. Tsipras is expected to discuss his political future, his upcoming book, and his vision for the country's progressive movement.
The high-profile interview comes just days after Mr. Tsipras formally resigned his seat as a Syriza party MP.
In his resignation letter, he stated he could not participate in a Parliament that was "democratically stripped bare," but stressed that he was "not resigning from political engagement."
In a message to his former party comrades, he wrote, "We will not be rivals. And perhaps soon we will travel together again to more beautiful seas."
The interview is seen as the next step in his planned political comeback, which is expected to culminate in the launch of a new centrist party
