"There is no end to the pandemic," Health Minister Thanos Plevris warned today, speaking on the lifting of coronavirus restrictions.
The rationale adopted by all the countries at the EU Health Ministers Council meeting was that the restrictions to control the transmission of the coronavirus should be lifted by mid-March, depending on the pressure facing individual countries' health systems, Health Minister Thanos Plevris said while speaking to SKAI TV on Thursday.
However, he underlined that there was no complacency and that everyone should be ready for a possible resurgence of the pandemic in autumn, noting that "there is no end to the pandemic".
Regarding Wednesday's decision to lift the restrictions in Greece, he said that the vaccination rate in the general population is over 81 percent.
