Afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop Thursday across northern and western parts of mainland Greece — including the northern Ionian, Epirus, western Central Greece and parts of Macedonia and Thrace — while the south and the Aegean islands remain largely fair, the Hellenic National Meteorological Service forecast.
Mountain areas in the north face the highest storm risk through the afternoon, with conditions expected to ease late at night.
Morning visibility will be locally reduced across mainland areas.
South-southwesterly winds will blow at 3 to 5 Beaufort, reaching 6 Beaufort in parts of the Aegean before shifting west-northwesterly in western and central regions.
Temperatures will ease slightly in the west and north, ranging from 28°C to 29°C across most of the country and 30°C to 31°C in eastern mainland areas — normal for early June, and well within the seasonal range as Greece moves deeper into its summer weather pattern.
