Greece's ruling New Democracy party remains above 30% in a new Opinion Poll survey for Action 24, but its projected 122 seats in the 300-seat parliament would leave it well short of the 151 needed to govern alone.
New Democracy stands at 30.3% in vote estimate, with Alexis Tsipras's new ELAS party second at 15.9%, a gap of 14.4 points. PASOK is third at 12.3%, followed by the Communist Party at 7.2% and Greek Solution at 6.8%.
Course of Freedom is at 5.1% and Maria Karystianou's Hope for Democracy at 4.5%, both down. Voice of Reason, led by Afroditi Latinopoulou, and Alliance of Greeks, backed by Ilias Kasidiaris, each have 3.5%, ahead of MeRA25 at 2.7%, SYRIZA at 1.7% and Niki at 1.1%.
In raw voting intention, New Democracy has 25.5% to ELAS's 13.3%, with 15.7% undecided. The poll projects a nine-party parliament: New Democracy 122 seats, ELAS 48, PASOK 37, Communists 21, Greek Solution 20, Course of Freedom 16, Hope for Democracy 14, and the other two 11 each.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads as best prime minister at 27.4%, narrowly ahead of "none" at 26.5%, with Mr. Tsipras at 13.1% and PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis at 7.1%.
Cost of living tops voters' concerns at 59%, followed by the economy at 27.2% and energy costs at 21.2%. Asked about high prices, 50.4% blame government failure, 22% external factors and 25.9% both.
Voters were split on U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's Athens visit: 48.6% said it strengthened Greece's national positions, while 47% said it did not.
A majority of 55.9% said the energy alliance with Washington boosts national security.
On accusations of government arrogance made by some party figures, 54% agreed and 38% called them exaggerated.
