More than half of Greek voters, 54%, believe there is no credible alternative to the current government, according to a new poll that shows widespread political fatigue and skepticism toward both the ruling and opposition parties.
The Alco poll, conducted for Alpha TV, highlights a significant lack of trust in opposition forces to present a viable governing option.
The socialist Pasok party was seen as the most credible alternative by only 11% of respondents.
Public opinion on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains evenly split.
The poll found 51% of respondents are "not at all" satisfied with his performance, versus 47% who are "somewhat" or "a little" satisfied.
The survey also measured attitudes toward former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, amid speculation about his potential return with a new party.
Trust in Mr. Tsipras remains low, with 79% of respondents saying they trust him "a little" or "not at all."
The poll highlighted specific areas of deep public dissatisfaction. Inflation remains a top concern, with eight in 10 Greeks believing there has been no meaningful decline in prices. Furthermore, 69% of respondents said the government’s efforts to combat crime are failing.
