As he underlined, "We are abolishing over 100 different telephone numbers that were operating until today. Therefore, starting today, there is only one number for health issues."
The premier clarified however that 156 would not replace the 166 number, for the EKAV ambulance service. "1566 will not replace one phone number, which is 166. In other words, for all health services - hospital appointments, primary health care appointments, diagnostic examinations, high-cost medication, pharmacies, questions, complaints - all health in one phone number. Which in essence improves citizens' services and daily lives. Something is changing here. What does not change is 166.
