Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a post on social media, refers to the microsatellites that Greece is acquiring.
"Did you know that Greece is acquiring 13 of its own microsatellites, financed by the Recovery Fund? Where will they be used? In security, border protection, civil protection and natural disaster response, geosurveillance of forests and agricultural crops, and monitoring water quality on land and at sea. These are just some of their applications.
Yesterday, at ICEYE, we saw the first two Greek microsatellites, which will be launched soon. Important components are being manufactured in Greece by Greek engineers—some of whom have even returned to the country for this purpose. Something is changing," Mitsotakis says.
