Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his confidence that New Democracy will emerge as the major victor in the European elections on June 9, reiterating the party's success in the parliamentary elections of 2023, during his address to citizens in Giannitsa on Friday afternoon.
"The abstention poses a significant risk for the European elections," stated Mitsotakis who accused the opposition of neglecting European issues the day after the elections and focusing solely on the internal political situation.
He also emphasized that during the European elections, New Democracy will remain the dominant political force in the country shaping political developments.
Referring to Pella region, Prime Minister mentioned that over the past 5 years the Hellenic Organization of Agricultural Compensations (ELGA) has provided 400 million euros in agricultural compensation.
Mitsotakis received a welcome in Giannitsa from the Regional Governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas
and strolled along the pedestrian street engaging in conversations with shopkeepers and citizens.
