Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis toured the city of Argos in the Peloponnese on Thursday, and called on voters to give ruling New Democracy "the strength to go to Europe the next day to negotiate the best we can for Greek women and men" on June 9.
Mitsotakis emphasized that today Greece is a better and stronger country compared to 2019, with taxes reduced and wages and pensions increased, with fortified borders, and playing a leading role in Europe, among his government's achievements.
He also revealed he and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had written to the president of the European Commission to suggest the Commission "explores the possibility of joint European financing for significant defence projects that would concern the entire Europe," such as building a missile shield over Europe.
