The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, met with the presidium of the Supreme Confederation of Large Families on Tuesday.
The meeting presented the key measures of the new tax reform concerning large families. Pierrakakis stressed that not only large families who are employees will benefit, but also freelancers. The tax for this category of citizens will also be zero for incomes up to 20,000 euros.
"We have a major tax reform ahead of us, which incorporates demographics into the equation and the great need to respond to the major problems our country faces in relation to the decline in the number of births. A tax reform by it self does not solve the problem. However, it is a very important step in recognizing this problem and removing burdens from the shoulders of large families."
For his part President of the Supreme Confederation of Large Families Thomas Gianniotis stressed that the measures announced by the prime minister at the TIF are a step in the right direction. "At the Thessaloniki International Fair, a demographic policy was launched, laying the foundation for the development of large families, which will now have the conditions to live properly."
