PASOK tabled a request in Parliament on Tuesday for a special parliamentary committee to conduct a preliminary criminal investigation and investigate any culpability of two former agriculture ministers in the OPEKEPE case.
In its request, the main opposition party called for a committee to be set up and look into whether former Rural Development and Food ministers Makis Voridis and Lefteris Avgenakis of ruling New Democracy are criminally liable in the OPEKEPE case of EU farm subsidy distributions.
PASOK-KINAL's request is sponsored by 33 party deputies and 2 independent deputies and will be formally announced in plenary on Wednesday.
