Soaring to its halfway mark of 113 meters, the Riviera Tower is rapidly changing the Athens skyline and marking a major milestone in the ambitious Ellinikon redevelopment.
Lamda Development said that the structure, set to be the Mediterranean’s tallest green residential tower, now stands at 25 stories.
The project, envisioned by the world-class architectural firm Foster + Partners, is designed to harmonize with its coastal setting.
Its bioclimatic character is enhanced by significant green and water elements, while every apartment features unobstructed panoramic views of the sea and landscape.
"The Riviera Tower will symbolize the overall Ellinikon vision — a sustainable, high-quality urban environment," stated Lamda Development CEO Odysseas Athanasiou.
The scale of the engineering is as impressive as its design.
The tower's foundation, laid by the Bouygues-Intrakat consortium, involved a continuous pour of 7,500 cubic meters of concrete, a testament to the project's complexity and innovation.
Investor appetite has been strong, with all of the tower's apartments and neighboring residences completely sold out.
This success underscores the global appeal of the Ellinikon, a project transforming the former Athens airport into a smart, green city.
With completion expected by 2026, the Riviera Tower is on track to become a beacon of modern, sustainable living on the Mediterranean coast.
