The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and streaming giant Netflix have released a new promotional video showcasing Greece’s landscapes through the lens of popular international films and series filmed in the country.
The video, part of an ongoing partnership between the two organizations, aims to leverage the global reach of Netflix to promote Greece as a premier travel destination.
The short film features clips from well-known productions that used Greek locations, including the hit Greek series “Maestro in Blue” and the Hollywood blockbuster “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” which was filmed on the island of Spetses. Other featured productions include “Beckett,” “A Perfect Story,” and “Lighthouse Lesvos.”
The GNTO said the project uses the power of cinematic storytelling to inspire travelers to experience Greece firsthand. The video will be used across the tourism board’s international marketing channels.
The collaboration is part of a broader strategy by the Greek government to attract international film and television productions to the country, using the on-screen visibility to boost its vital tourism sector.
