Production on the next season of Netflix's "Emily in Paris" is under way on the island of Mykonos, with lead actress Lily Collins filming through the narrow lanes of the island's main town, Chora -including the Matogianni shopping strip and the landmark windmills- as production crews temporarily cordon off zones to manage gathering crowds.
Ms. Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, was on location Tuesday following a full-day shoot Monday at Agios Sostis beach.
Co-star Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, joined her for scenes that included the two actresses emerging from a local boutique and encountering one of Mykonos's famous resident pelicans. Actor Lucas Bravo, who plays chef Gabriel, also participated in the daytime shoot.
The Mykonos sequence adds Greece to a production that has previously been set largely in Paris and other European locations.
Filming on the island is scheduled to continue over the coming days.
The shoot is the latest in a growing line of high-profile international productions choosing Greek locations — a trend that tourism officials say generates significant visibility for destinations beyond the traditional summer visitor season, when film crews typically arrive before peak crowds.
