Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has visited the headquarters of Nvidia and venture capital firm Sequoia Capital, meeting with top technology executives and researchers as part of his U.S. trip ahead of the United Nations General Assembly.
At Nvidia, Mr. Mitsotakis was welcomed by John Josephakis, the company's global vice president for business development, along with other senior executives.
The two discussed Greece's growing digital and computing infrastructure investments, as well as how Nvidia's technology and ecosystem support startups, governments and major tech companies in developing and adopting artificial intelligence applications.
Mr. Mitsotakis also toured Nvidia's research facilities, where some of the world's most advanced semiconductors and computing systems are designed.
Nvidia has become one of the world's largest technology companies and sits at the center of the global AI boom, with its processors and computing platforms serving as foundational infrastructure for training and running today's most advanced AI models.
Mr. Mitsotakis then traveled to Sequoia Capital, where he was received by partners Konstantine Buhler and Doug Leone, alongside investors and researchers from major technology firms and research labs.
The meeting also included founders and executives from companies at the forefront of applying artificial intelligence in medicine, education, automation and robotics.
The visits are part of a broader itinerary that includes meetings with leading investors before Mr. Mitsotakis heads to New York for the U.N. General Assembly, underscoring Greece's push to position itself as an emerging hub for data infrastructure and AI-driven investment.
