Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in the teleconference of European Union leaders convened by European Council President Antonio Costa on Tuesday and in the teleconference of European People's Party leaders, to assess Monday's meetings in Washington on Ukraine.
In his intervention, Mitsotakis underlined the need for an immediate ceasefire.
The Greek PM also expressed his satisfaction over the United States' intention to support the security guarantees, while he reiterated Greece's fixed stance on the inviolability of borders.
During the teleconference, a detailed briefing and an assessment of Monday's meetings on Ukraine in Washington were provided.
The Greek prime minister also noted the positive point that after Monday's meetings that the next steps for a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia are visible.
