Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will travel to Egypt on Tuesday for a series of high-level meetings, including a trilateral summit with the leaders of Cyprus and Egypt, his office has said.
Mr. Mitsotakis is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi at noon in El Alamein.
That will be followed at 1:30 p.m. by an informal trilateral meeting bringing together the leaders of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt.
An hour later, Mr. Mitsotakis, Mr. el-Sissi and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides are expected to hold a joint news conference.
The trilateral format has become a regular fixture of cooperation among the three Eastern Mediterranean nations, which have increasingly aligned on energy, security and regional stability issues in recent years, including gas exploration rights and tensions with Turkey over maritime boundaries.
The visit comes as the three countries continue coordinating on energy interconnection projects, migration and regional diplomacy amid ongoing instability in the Middle East.
El Alamein, on Egypt's northern coast, is best known as the site of a pivotal World War II battle between Allied and Axis forces in 1942.
