Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has declared that Greece has officially left its financial crisis behind, ushering in a new era of stability, economic growth, and renewed confidence from the global diaspora.

Speaking at a gathering of The Hellenic Initiative hosted at the Acropolis Museum, Mr. Mitsotakis underscored the nation's remarkable economic turnaround.

With unemployment dropping to 8% and the debt-to-GDP ratio falling rapidly, he asserted that macroeconomic stability is no longer a concern for the Mediterranean country.

"Greece today is a pillar of stability, resilience, renewal, and cooperation in a challenging region," the prime minister said.

He emphasized that the country's economic revival has successfully reversed the brain drain that defined the crisis years, noting that Greeks are returning home with renewed trust in the nation’s long-term trajectory.

Looking ahead to the political landscape, Mr. Mitsotakis firmly put to rest any speculation of early polls, reiterating that national elections will be held at the end of his government’s constitutional mandate in the spring of 2027.

Addressing the Greek diaspora directly, he urged expatriates to exercise their right to vote via the newly implemented postal ballot system.

"Remember who fought to remove every obstacle to your participation," he told attendees.

Concluding his remarks, the Greek leader called for political unity, urging citizens and lawmakers alike to move beyond partisan entrenchments and focus on the country's bigger picture.

He also expressed gratitude to The Hellenic Initiative for its ongoing role in strengthening the vital bonds between Greece and its global diaspora.
