Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis in a LinkedIn post, highlighted that the new registry of benefits and support is a vital tool in advancing social policy.
Hatzidakis noted that the reform, which he initiated during his tenure as FinMin, is set to be voted on in Parliament on Wednesday. As Hatzidakis noted the new registry will provide the state with a comprehensive overview of all benefits received by citizens, enabling early detection of unjustified claims.
He also stressed that the measure will allow for more targeted and effective support to those most in need.
