WASHINGTON (ANA-MPA/P. Kasfikis) - The US Senate's Foreign Relations Committee approved the appointment of Kimberly Guilfoyle as ambassador to Athens on Wednesday.
Specifically, 13 Committee members approved it and 9 rejected it. In fact, ranking member on the Committee Jean Shaheen (D-New Hampshire) spoke warmly about Guilfoyle's candidacy and voted in its favor.
The next and final stage of ratifying her appointment is a Senate plenary vote.
