Greek stocks ended higher on the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The index rose 1.09% to close at 2,056.38 points, off the session's high of 2,057.78 points.
The Large Cap index ended 1.17% higher and the Mid Cap index rose 0.22%. Turnover was 221.65 million euros, in volume of 42,086.068.
National Bank (3.48%), Piraeus Bank (3.27%) and PPC (2.71%) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while AIA (-1.45%), OPAP (-0.86%) and Metlen (-0.75%) suffered losses. Piraeus Bank and Alpha Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day.
Broadly, advancers led decliners by 54 to 50, with another 16 issues unchanged.
Proodeftiki (14.44%) and Ekter (11.24%) were top gainers, while Daios (-7.89%) and Mouzakis (-6.72%) were top losers.
