The Greek passport is the sixth most powerful in the world, granting its holders visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 189 destinations, according to the 2025 Henley Passport Index.
The annual ranking, compiled by the London-based consultancy Henley & Partners, evaluates passports based on the number of countries they can enter without a prior visa.
Singapore holds the top spot on the global list, with its passport providing access to 195 destinations, followed by Japan with 193.
Greece shares the sixth position with Australia.
The United States ranked 12th, with access to 180 destinations.
The index notes a relative decline for U.S. and U.K. passports in recent years, while Greece has benefited from its membership in the European Union and the Schengen Area, as well as its strong global diplomatic ties.
