Greek firefighters have responded to 55 agricultural and forest fires across the country in the past 24 hours, the fire service said, with 47 contained at the outset and eight still being fought.
Separately, a blaze that broke out in a spare-parts warehouse at the Kotroni site in Marathon, northeast of Athens, was brought under control.
Local investigating offices and teams from the fire service's arson investigation directorate are examining the causes of the fires.
The fire service did not say whether any were deliberately set, and reported no injuries.
The fire service urged the public to be especially careful and, in the event of a fire, to follow authorities' instructions closely for their own safety.
The figures show the risk has not ended with summer. Greece's official fire season runs through October, and dry vegetation combined with strong autumn winds can turn small outbreaks into dangerous fires.
A high share of ignitions are caught early: the 47 of 55 contained at the initial stage reflect the rapid-response approach that officials credit for limiting damage in recent seasons.
