Greek Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos met with U.S. billionaire and Red Apple Group founder John Catsimatidis to discuss strengthening economic ties and boosting American investment in Greece, the minister announced.
Mr. Theodorikakos said the meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and sectors overseen by the Development Ministry, at a time when Greece is pushing to attract more U.S. capital and deepen ties with the Greek American business community.
“I had the pleasure of meeting John Catsimatidis, one of the most distinguished representatives of the Greek diaspora in the United States,” Mr. Theodorikakos wrote in a social media post. “We discussed strengthening relations between our two countries, investments in Greece, trade, and broader issues of the Ministry of Development.
He is a remarkable Greek with great contributions to our homeland.”
Mr. Catsimatidis, a longtime donor, businessman, and influential figure in U.S. political and diaspora circles, has maintained strong public interest in Greek economic affairs, often signaling willingness to support American business activity in the country.
