Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias is in California for a multi-day visit focused on strengthening defense cooperation in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and unmanned systems.
Mr. Dendias, who arrived Sunday, is scheduled to tour the U.S. Navy’s Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific in San Diego on Monday.
The center is a hub for developing unmanned vehicles and advanced cyber warfare tools.
On Tuesday, Mr. Dendias will travel to Stanford University in San Francisco.
He is expected to visit the Stanford Platform Lab to discuss AI and computing, followed by meetings at the Hoover Institution on defense strategy.
Later Tuesday, Mr. Dendias will meet with Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco and California Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis.
The visit concludes Wednesday with a roundtable discussion with Greek-American academics and executives specializing in robotics, AI, and security.
