The Athens and Ukrainian chambers of commerce will host a joint business forum next month to connect Greek companies with opportunities to contribute to Ukraine's economic recovery, the head of the Athens chamber has announced.
The plan was agreed upon during a virtual meeting between the president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), Yiannis Bratakos, and his Ukrainian counterpart, Gennady Chizhikov.
Mr. Bratakos said there is "strong interest" among Greek businesses to assist in Ukraine's revival, particularly in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and construction.
The business forum will be held on Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Thessaloniki International Fair.
“Our shared hope is for security guarantees that are meaningful and binding, leading to a long period of peace and stability,” Mr. Bratakos said, emphasizing the need for a diplomatic end to the war.
