Greece’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, singer Klavdia, qualified for Saturday’s grand final during the second of two preliminary rounds on Thursday evening.
The final will be broadcast worldwide on Saturday evening from Basel, Switzerland.
Klavdia (Papadopoulou), born in 2003, performed the song “Asteromata” in Greek and was the final contestant of the night to secure a spot in the final.
The song draws inspiration from the forced displacement of Pontic Greeks from the southeast coast of the Black Sea over a century ago, a deeply personal subject for Klavdia due to her Pontic Greek heritage.
In interviews, Klavdia has expressed her lifelong admiration for Eurovision, describing it as a “magical world” she has dreamed of being part of since childhood.
With her signature style, emotive vocals, and a unique musical blend of tradition and modernity, she is now set to represent Greece on the international stage.
