The Greek government has condemned a deadly overnight Russian airstrike on Kyiv as a "blatant violation of International Law," reaffirming its full solidarity with Ukraine.

"We are appalled by Russia’s attack on Kyiv, killing innocent civilians and severely damaging infrastructure and diplomatic facilities, including the premises of the EU Delegation," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"Greece stands in full solidarity with Ukraine and its people."

The strike, one of the most intense in recent weeks, killed at least 18 people, including four children, and injured 45 others, according to Ukrainian officials.

The attack damaged residential buildings, public infrastructure, and the offices of the European Union's delegation in Kyiv.

Ukrainian authorities claimed Russia deployed hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles in the assault.
