Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, in his address to the 10th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, taking place in Warsaw, underlined that "Ukraine continues to enjoy our full and unwavering support at a time when we all expect the ongoing peace negotiations to finally bear fruit".
He stressed that the Three Seas Initiative is one of the fora that can make a decisive contribution to Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction and its connectivity to regional infrastructure networks, with the ultimate goal of EU membership.
He noted that the initiative contributes not only to economic growth and prosperity but also to the security, stability and resilience of infrastructure in Eastern Europe and the EU as a whole.
Gerapetritis also pointed out that this initiative works in parallel and complementary to EU policies and financial instruments, such as the Global Gateway project.
"I believe that it is precisely these aspects of security, resilience and diversification that our initiative promotes in this part of Europe and, I may say, in the world at large that are attracting the growing interest of other countries to join it", said Gerapetritis.
