A gas cylinder has exploded at a vacation rental in northern Greece, injuring five tourists, two of them seriously, and leading to the arrest of the 86-year-old property owner, police said.
The explosion occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the coastal town of Asprovalta, east of Thessaloniki.
A man and a woman suffered serious burns and were transferred to a hospital in Thessaloniki for treatment.
The other three tourists sustained minor injuries from broken glass.
Authorities have arrested the owner of the rental property as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the blast.
