Representatives of protesting farmers concluded their meeting at the Nikea roadblock of Larissa on Saturday, deciding that they would meet with the prime minister as scheduled on Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 13), and rejecting a proposal for a rally in Athens during that meeting at Maximos Mansion.
Specifically, the members of the Panehellenic Committee of Roadblocks said the tractors and other farm machinery would be parked on the roadsides, awaiting the results of the Tuesday meeting and the briefings on Wednesday by local committees.
The Panhellenic Committee said it had decided against holding a rally in Athens on Tuesday, as such an action would not benefit their struggle.
