Leaders of Greece, Israel, and Cyprus have issued a unified warning to regional adversaries, vowing to fortify their security and energy alliance as the Middle East navigates a volatile "new geopolitical phase" following the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria.

Speaking at the 10th trilateral summit in Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cautioned unnamed rivals against testing the bloc's resolve.

"To all those who fantasize about establishing their empire and imposing their dominance on our land, I say: forget it," Mr. Netanyahu said.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized that the partnership is vital for stability as the region enters a transition marked by both high risk and opportunity.

With the war in Gaza approaching the two-year mark, Mr. Mitsotakis noted that U.S.-led diplomatic efforts have created new openings for progress, while renewing calls for the return of the last Israeli victim's body from the Oct. 7 attacks.

Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides praised the resilience of the alliance.

"There are no limits to the prospects for cooperation," Mr. Christodoulides said, describing the nations as pillars of predictability in a chaotic region.

The summit focused heavily on energy security, specifically the strategic value of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC).

Mr. Mitsotakis positioned Greece as a critical energy gateway for Europe, prioritizing electrical interconnections and liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure.

Addressing the "post-Assad" era in Syria, the leaders called for stability and the protection of religious minorities, with Mr. Mitsotakis specifically urging safeguards for Christian Orthodox communities.

The trio also reaffirmed their commitment to the "3+1" framework involving the United States as a cornerstone of Eastern Mediterranean security.
