The raid, which began early Sunday in the regions of Hania and Rethymno, has so far led to the seizure of cannabis, cocaine, pistols, and assault rifles.
The criminal organization is suspected of involvement in drug and weapons trafficking, as well as extortion.

According to police sources, the extensive investigation was launched after an explosive device was used in a past attack targeting a police officer.
