Greek police are investigating the death of a young, unidentified girl found on a beach as a suspected homicide, after surveillance video emerged showing a woman pushing a stroller with a child inside toward the sea hours before the body was discovered.

The girl, estimated to be 3 to 3.5 years old, was found dead early Sunday on Edem beach in the coastal suburb of Palaio Faliro.

No one has filed a missing person report matching her description.

Investigators are focused on two videos.

The first, from Saturday night, shows a woman with a stroller and two children heading toward the beach. Hours later, a second video reportedly shows the same woman abandoning the stroller in a nearby park. Police suspect the girl may have been dead or unconscious in the stroller before her body was put in the water.

A forensic report indicated the cause of death was likely drowning. While there were no immediate signs of foul play, authorities noted bruises on the body occurred after death.

The Coast Guard is renewing its appeal to the public for any information that could help identify the child.
