COVID-19 positivity rates rising in Greece

Positivity rates for SARS-CoV-2 in Greece are on the rise, accompanied by increases in hospitalizations, ventilator use and fatalities.

From July 8 to 14, 669 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospitals, indicating an upward trend. According to the latest epidemiological report from the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (EODY), 12 patients required ventilator support and there were 26 deaths.EODY advises vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, to strictly follow respiratory infection prevention measures. EODY also recommends seeking prompt medical advice upon experiencing symptoms to ensure timely treatment.
