Greek Coast Guard authorities have located 24 migrants, including 11 minors, on the island of Samothrace after being alerted to an inflatable boat spotted in the area, officials said.
The Samothrace Port Authority received a report about a dinghy near Agkistro, prompting a Coast Guard patrol vessel and a land patrol unit to respond.
Search teams located the group — six men, seven women and 11 minors — in a semi-mountainous area near Lagkadioti beach.
The migrants were transferred to the Samothrace Port Police Station under the Central Port Authority of Alexandroupolis, which is now handling the preliminary investigation.
No further details on the migrants' nationalities or the circumstances of their journey have been released.
The arrival adds to a series of recent migrant landings across Greek islands in the northern Aegean.
