An elderly bedridden woman was seriously injured after being attacked by a mink that entered her home in the village of Maniakoi, according to state broadcaster ERT.
The animal reportedly entered the house through an open door and severely maimed the woman's arm.
Relatives discovered her and called for an ambulance.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the victim was transferred from a local hospital in Kastoria to a larger facility in Thessaloniki for specialized treatment. An investigation into the rare attack is ongoing.
