The Athens Municipality has officially launched Exypireto, a centralized digital platform designed to provide residents with immediate access to free social services across the metropolitan area.
The online directory, operating at exypireto.gr, aggregates all municipal welfare programs alongside free services provided by 91 non-profit organizations and 121 public and private structures.
City officials stated that the digital hub aims to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, optimize inter-agency coordination, and bridge the gap between vulnerable citizens and care networks.
For residents, the portal features location-based and keyword search engines for rapid service discovery, alongside real-time updates on community welfare events.
The platform serves as a primary tool for public health and social care professionals, allowing them to expedite referrals through an organized, updated database of partner organizations.
The system also functions as a B2B network for civil society groups, offering them free service promotion, direct information management, and collaborative networking opportunities within the official municipal framework.
Interested providers can now register independently through the platform's portal.
According to municipal coordinators, Exypireto will run in tandem with the city's established ACCMR platform, which coordinates integration services for migrant and refugee populations. The two digital systems are structured to complement one another, creating a comprehensive safety net designed to expand public welfare accessibility across greater Athens.
