Poreia Theatre has joined the Black Friday retail wave , announcing a three-day, 25% discount on ticket purchases for its entire slate of productions.
The offer, available exclusively online through Saturday, Nov. 29, applies to a limited number of seats.
Theater officials noted that the discount excludes holiday performances scheduled between Dec. 23 and Jan. 6.
The promotion covers current hits and upcoming premieres.
Electra Within, an adaptation of Sophocles by Artistic Director Dimitris Tarlow, returns to the indoor stage following a successful national tour. Ms. Loukia Michalopoulou leads the cast alongside Mr. Konstantinos Zografos and Ms. Aglaia Pappa.
Also featured is the return of Suzie Miller’s legal drama Prima Facie. Directed by Mr. Giorgos Oikonomou, the Tony Award-winning play stars Ms. Lena Papaligoura as a defense attorney whose life is upended by sexual assault.
The lineup includes the psychological drama When Nietzsche Wept, featuring Mr. Konstantinos Avarikiotis and Mr. Giannis Kotsifas in an imagined meeting between the philosopher and Dr. Josef Breuer.
For families, the theater is offering a music-theater adaptation of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, directed by Ms. Chloe Mandzari with choreography by Ms. Sofia Spyratou.
Looking ahead to February, the sale includes tickets for the Greek premiere of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Directed by Mr. Dimitris Agiopetritis Bogdanos, this multimedia reinterpretation of the Oscar Wilde classic features Ms. Nadia Kontogeorgi navigating 26 voices and mirrors in a solo performance.
