A suffocating Turkish defense held superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to a tournament-low 12 points as Turkey dominated Greece 94-68 on Friday to advance to the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 final.
Greece was plagued by sloppy play, committing 22 turnovers that led to 25 points for Turkey. The defensive game plan of Turkish coach Ergin Ataman successfully neutralized Antetokounmpo, who entered the game averaging 30 points per contest.
Kostas Sloukas led Greece with 15 points in the losing effort.
Coached by Vassilis Spanoulis, the Greek team will now play Finland for the bronze medal on Sunday.
Turkey will face Germany in the championship game, seeking its first EuroBasket title since 2001.
