PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis concluded his tour of Grevena in western Macedonia on Friday afternoon with a tour to Deskati.
He reiterated his criticism of the government over the irregularities in OPEKEPE, the organization handling EU farm resources that is being dismantled, and about the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) concession 717 on railroad safety systems related to the Tempi train collision.
"In the near future, the European Prosecutor's office will pay for a hotel room in central Athens. Every so often it gets involved with Mr Mitsotakis' Greece," Androulakis said, referring to the prime minister.
He also criticized the prime minister for relations with Turkiye. "Mr Mitsotakis is pleased with himself for doing so well in foreign policy," he said, yet Turkiye had not lifted its casus belli against Greece and still wants to be part of European defense. "Is this a win? It's New Democracy's Waterloo" instead, he added, also mentioning the issue over the status of the Greek Orthodox monastery of St Catherine of Sinai.
Regional development is the priority, the PASOK-KINAL leader said, and called for urgent measures to stem demographic losses due to an aging populationGreece's villages are becoming deserted, he said, and he charged the prime minister of "turning green transition from a lifesaver for producers into a lifesaver for the oligarchs."
