PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis as part of his tour in Thessaly, gave an interview with TRT TV, discussing the process of electing new party leadership.
Regarding PASOK’s leadership elections, Androulakis reiterated his call for his fellow candidates to commit to staying with the party. He emphasized that it is inconceivable to run for party president without committing to being a candidate in the parliamentary elections. "I urge my fellow candidates to immediately commit to this ethical principle," he said.
Addressing the potential reformation of the Center-Left political force, Androulakis stated his commitment to an open political congress where "forces from the Center and Center-Left will be invited to discuss, co-shape and strengthen our power against the current government. However, this cannot be achieved with individuals whose sole compass is the seat of power but with society."
"Democratic renewal will not come through transfers but through a plan, modern political personnel, and a daily presence in society," Androulakis said.
