The new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, hAmade one of her first public appearances in Athens, attending the EuroLeague basketball match between Olympiacos and Zalgiris Kaunas at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF).
Ms. Guilfoyle, who recently began her diplomatic tenure, was seen in the VIP section alongside Olympiacos owners Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos.
Accompanied by her son, Ronan, Ms. Guilfoyle greeted fans and appeared relaxed as she enjoyed the game.
Her son also posed for photos with the Olympiacos team mascot.
The ambassador’s public outing at one of Greece’s most iconic sports venues was seen as a friendly gesture of engagement with the local community.
Ms. Guilfoyle's arrival comes as the U.S. and Greece are deepening strategic cooperation in energy, defense, and trade.
The match, part of the 10th round of the EuroLeague season, saw Olympiacos face off against Lithuania’s Zalgiris Kaunas before a crowd of thousands.
