Dust transport from Africa to the whole Greek territory will be felt throughout the week, according to AtmoHub, the information hub for atmospheric composition in Greece.
On Tuesday, the phenomenon is expected to peak as surface dust concentrations are expected to exceed 50 μg/m³ in areas such as Crete, Central Greece, Peloponnese, and Eptanisa.Furthermore, as AtmoHub points out, there is a possibility of mud showers in Central and Northern Greece, Northern Peloponnese and Eptanisa due to the simultaneous presence of moisture in the atmosphere.As AtmoHub notes, caution is recommended for vulnerable groups as well as limiting outdoor activity and avoiding intense exercise outdoors.
