The Parliament should not accept the blackmail imposed by Greece's creditors on Alexis Tsipras, said Parliament speaker Zoe Konstantopoulou.
Zoe Konstantopoulou, who is known to oppose the bailout, is not presiding over today's debate in parliament on the first set of reforms demanded by eurozone creditors
Konstantopoulou said that new evidence has come into light following the release of an IMF report showing that Greece’s public debt is "highly unsustainable"
“I felt outrage when I heard Chancellor Merkel announcing when the Greek Parliament should hold a vote on the bill ... It is clear that what is sought by blackmailing Prime Minister Tsipras, the Greek government and parliament is to finally implement a policy of subordination” Konstantopoulou said
“The Parliament cannot and should not legislate in such suffocating deadlines” she added
