The major international media outlets all sent journalists to Athens to report on the Greek bailout talks.
When major events occur in the Greek capital, the hotels and other buildings on Syntagma Square are inundated by news crews, journalists and technicians who install their equipment on balconies and rooftops.
Syntagma Square located in central Athens in front of the Hellenic Parliament has become the central point for Greek protests against austerity measures. The hotels around the square are an ideal spot for foreign correspondents to set up camp and cover reactions among the Greek society.
Yet all eyes are turn to Brussels today as talks between Greece and creditor institutions resume this morning after yesterday’s Eurogroup negotiations to avert a Greek debt default failed to reach a breakthrough.
